End Grain Chessboard, 14.5in x 14.5in x 1.25in
Materials: Cherry, Ash, Sapele, Titebond III, Mineral Oil, Beeswax, Subi’s Wood Conditioner
Whether intended for use in the kitchen or the living room, this board is built to withstand years of use while aging gracefully. The squares are alternating ash and cherry blocks, wrapped on the perimeter by a sophisticated sapele hardwood frame. It is also entirely end grain, making it easy on knives in the kitchen, while being able to withstand all manner of use. Four high-grip rubber feet are added to the bottom for stability and airflow, and the entire board has been hand-rubbed with beeswax to give it a lustrous, natural sheen.
